On November 24, the Hawthorne Seventh-day Adventist Church came together to serve the homeless in a heartwarming Thanksgiving outreach. Starting near the airport, volunteers set out with 100 plates of delicious, traditional Thanksgiving food. The church's mission took them on a journey through the streets, all the way to downtown Los Angeles (DTLA), where they distributed meals, toiletries, and warm socks to those in need.

In total, approximately 120 individuals were helped with food, clothing, and blankets. Once the meals were gone, the volunteers continued to offer support by providing blankets and clothing to those still seeking help. The effort was a powerful display of compassion and community, demonstrating the church's commitment to sharing the blessings of the season with those who are less fortunate.

The event served as a reminder that the holiday spirit is about more than just sharing a meal—it’s about offering warmth, care, and kindness to those who need it most.
